Ship 360°Anti-collision System

Project Objectives

Through the 6 cameras around the ship, the real-time environment of the ship is captured, and the millimeter wave radar and navigation data are utilized to enable the crew to intuitively control the ship's distance from its surroundings so as to realize safe berthing and voyage. 

Through the long-distance 180°camera, combined with X-band radar signal, AIS signal and navigation information, the ship can realize the ship's control of the ship's 360°all-around surroundings, and accurately identify the identity and navigation information of the surrounding ships, so as to avoid collision in advance.

 

Technological Path

1.Auxiliary berthing

A total of six cameras, two on the each side of the ship, one on the bow and one on the transom,  collect real-time images of the ship's 360° environment, and through the video fusion technology, the six images are presented as an overall video image. Meanwhile, the millimeter-wave radars on the two sides of the ship can detect the distance between the side of the ship and the berthing place in real time, and provides an audible alarm when the distance reaches a certain range; other communication and navigation data make it possible for the crew to have the draught of the ship, water depth, speed and other information to help the ship berth safely and stably.

2.Anti-collision

Through the 225° panoramic camera on the bow, the crew can realize the real-time view of 225° environment in a certain direction of the ship; through the panoramic camera, it can realize the view of the surrounding environment in 360° direction of the ship. Also, with the help of the X-band radar and AIS data, the crew can obtain the ship's identity information, distance and bearing, sailing speed and direction in the screen, which can help the crew to master the movement of the neighboring ships; at the same time, by connecting the radar signal to the infrared thermal imaging camera, the system can realize the function of automatic alarm or reminder within the safe distance to ensure the safety of ship navigation.
