1.MIMO Technology Applied

The F-G50 antenna combines the structural characteristics of an array antenna and omnidirectional antenna in its design and adopts MIMO technology to demonstrate the advantages of the two types of antennas fully. It retains the basic structure of the array antenna and can conduct omnidirectional signal transmission as the latter.

MIMO technology, which entails more uses of oscillators and channels, effectively empowers the vertical plane. Through three-dimensional coverage deepening, precise beam to reduce interference, spatialization to improve spectrum utilization, and other ways, this technology also promotes the effectiveness of improving resource utilization, enhances the depth of coverage, weakens the impact of interference, alleviates the pressure brought about by the capacity, and increases the wireless network rate.

2.Antenna Oscillator Design

The antenna abandons metal oscillators used by traditional communication antennas, and instead, uses Rogers’s high-frequency PCB. The advantages of Rogers PCB include low loss, low tolerance, excellent high-frequency performance, and stable electrical characteristics at different frequencies. Moreover, with the same volume of oscillator, Rogers PCB is lighter in weight, and the signal reception is faster and more stable. The application of Rogers PCB changes the antenna signal function from a single array to multi-directional omnidirectional transmission.


3.Antenna Module

The antenna adopts Fibocom's first 5G module (model: FM150-AE).

Fibocom’s FM150-AE 5G module, based on the Qualcomm SDX55 (Snapdragon 5G modem) platform, supports both 5G standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA). This module allows the antenna faster transmission speeds, better carrying capacity, and lower network latency.

4.Antenna Host/ Wireless Router

The F-G50 can access the Internet merely by installing an IoT card. In terms of signal coverage, if only one network operator’s signal is received, it is difficult for the antenna to eliminate signal blind zones, especially in the changeable environments at sea. The use of dual or multiple cards can solve the problem of disconnection in those situations. The host automatically chooses and switches to networks with stronger signals to fulfill the network demands.

The wireless router adopts a high-performance 64-bit A53 processor based on a universal platform, modular design, and a built-in industrial wireless 5G module. It adopts an embedded operating system and is optimized regarding the shortcomings of wireless networks, such as instability and large delay variations, to provide users with high-speed and reliable routing and data transmission.

The router can automatically manage multiple links. The router can conduct detection and make backups on several different links. When the router detects that the main link fails, the router will switch to the backup link. If the network of the main link recovers, the router’s default route will switch to the main link interface. The link detection adopts ICMP detection.
